Marlin Magazine reminds us that today would have been Tommy Rybovich’s 94th Birthday. Born in West Palm Beach on November 21, 1919, the same year that his father “Pop” founded Rybovich & Sons Boat Works, Tommy would become one of the most heralded boat designers in the business.

In 1942, Tommy Rybovich designed the first boat created specifically for sportfishing. His legacy lies in every fishing boat made since. Tommy Rybovich died in 1972, but his influence on the sportfishing world will never be forgotten.
