Keysnews.com, The Florida Keys and Key West’s Daily Online news, reports today that the Bonefish and Tarpon Trust want to open a research center at the 7-acre Keys Marine Lab, which is owned by by the state and operated in partnership with the Florida Fish and Wildlife Conservation Commission.

The BT&T research center would be run and maintained by BT&T, the University of Miami, Florida Institute of Technology, and the Wildlife Foundation of Florida.  The FEC has expressed interest in the research agreement.
