It is getting to be that time of year where we want to be out on the boat everyday, but for most of us, we are weekend warriors. With the sun getting ready to burst with lots of bright sunshine and heat I can’t express enough how important it is for you to select a great pair of polarized sunglasses. There are a ton of different companies and models to choose from. My suggestion for you is to pick the pair that fits properly on your face and is comfortable for your ears. Some of the best sunglasses I have purchased didn’t cost an arm and a leg. Don’t get caught up in the fact that the captains on your favorite fishing show have the best money can buy; remember they probably got theirs for free because they are sponsored by the company. There are different lenses to choose from: blue, green, brown, and gray. Tell your seller what kind of fishing you do as they will recommend what type of lenses will work best for you whether it be for offshore or the flats, or for bright sunlight to a cloudy day. Take it from the Shirtless Captain, this is a major purchase that should be high on your list. Not only will they protect your precious eyes from the UV rays, they may also save you from a hook or sinker that has been known to fly back.
