Georgia officials have announced that Savannah angler Brendin Page’s 205-pound, 8-ounce swordfish has been confirmed as the largest swordfish taken from Georgia waters.
Page took the fish on May 31, 2014, after a 90-minute fight. The catch was certified by Charles Russo of Russo’s Fresher Seafoods in Savannah.
Page’s swordfish eclipsed the previous record held by W.H. Lippitt of 86-pounds taken in 1980.
