There were no tarpon logged at the weigh in of the 66th annual Golden Meadow Fourchon International Tarpon Rodeo in Port Fourchon, Louisiana. But angler Chad Galliano broke a rodeo record that had stood since 1978.
Back in 1978 Baton rouge Rodeo angler Buck Gladden brought to weigh in a 51-pound, 8-ounce bull dolphin that stood as the Rodeo record until this weekend.
Chad Galliano’s 57-pound, 8-ounce bull now holds the top spot in the record book.
While angler Boo Langolis didn’t set any records, his 50-pound 11-ounce black fin shark certainly drew some attention at the weigh in.
