Inventive Fishing researchers and world fishing observers are seeing a number of announcements that the famed New Zealand champion offshore boat Libertas is up for sale. Asking price for this 60 foot Riviera Millennium: $1.15 million.

According to Scoop Independent News out of New Zealand, the “Australian-built Libertas has a 16 foot beam and is powered by two 1000 horse power C-18s which deliver a top speed of 30 knots at 2300 rpm, with a 6500 litre fuel capacity. The vessel has cruising speed of approximately 23 knots at 1900rpm. Underwater exhausts keep engine noise to a minimum when cruising.”

In its eight years on the water, Libertas has racked up an impressive resume, including:

• First in the Base Angler Class at the 2012 Truckers and Loggers Big Game Fishing Tournament held out of the Bay of Islands.
• Winner of the 2010 Tongan International Billfish Tournament.
• Runner-up in the striped marlin category at the 2010 New Zealand Big Game Fishing Nationals.
• Winner of the 2009 Houhora One Base Tournament.
• Winner of the striped marlin category at the 2008 New Zealand Big Game Fishing Nationals.
• Winner of the 2006 New Zealand Big Six Challenge held in the Upper North Island.
