Starting this weekend, anglers can take advantage of an addition 39-day season for recreational red snapper fishing in Gulf and Federal waters.
According to the U.S. Department of Commerce, which announced the federal changes, and the Florida Fish and Wildlife Commission, which approved extending this additional season to state waters, this Friday, June 16, will mark the first weekend which also includes Fridays, Saturdays and Sundays from Friday, June 16, through Monday, Sept. 4, as well as Monday and Tuesday, July 3 and 4, and Monday, Sept. 4.
