Last week Saltwater Nation anglers were excited to see large schools of bluefish move into the Long Island area. This week, we’re hearing reports from Saltwater Nation anglers that huge schools of blues have made their way up the coast and are making an appearance off of Cape Cod.

We’re getting good reports from Race Point Beach and South Cape Beach, and, of course, Martha’s Vineyard and Nantucket Sound are always bluefish favorites. So, have plenty of wire leader on hand, and rig up with just about anything from cut bait to spoons to jigs to top water plugs and get out after them. Watch for heavy bird activity and surface disruption which can signal an impending blitz.
