West Marine, the world’s top boating, fishing and sailing retailer, announced today the launch of its “Fall For Fishing” photo contest, Oct. 1 to Oct. 27. The contest is part of West Marine’s commitment to providing products and services that equip anglers to make the big catch.
Participants are encouraged to enter the contest by sharing a photo of themselves with their latest catch. One winner will be randomly selected each week and will receive a $100 West Marine gift card for a total of four winners. In addition to the contest, many West Marine store locations will host free in-store fishing events focused on a variety of topics including a Lady Angler series, Kids’ Fishing, and more. West Marine is also introducing a new “Frequent Angler Frozen Bait” program that gives customers their 10th bait purchase for free. This card will be redeemable at 134 locations.
Earlier this year, West Marine signed on as a sponsor of SE Multimedia’s “Into the Blue,” a syndicated TV fishing show that follows saltwater anglers off the Florida Keys. The show features an Into the Shop segment with tips from the pros, and one episode highlighted West Marine Safety First by covering all boating safety equipment required by law.
