6-year-old vs 100-lb Tarpon

BlacktipH Fishing posted this video to YouTube a couple of weeks ago, but we’re just now seeing it in circulation. It’s pretty incredible. As you’ll see, it features six-year-old angler “Reed” locked on to a sizable silver king. According to Reed, the tarpon weights “a hundred pounds!” According to BlacktipH, Reed was using a 7/0 Eagle Claw circle hook baited with mullet. He had 60lb fluorocarbon leader at the end of 50ln Seagur braid all loaded on a Quantum cabo 60 on a 7ft Quantum Blu PT 12-25.

But, let’s face it, the technical details are moot. This is a six-year-old and a 100-lb tarpon. That’s all we need to know. Reed Rocks.
