The 3rd Annual West End Snapper Fishing Tournament and Festival, will take place this Saturday, June 22, 2013 in West End Grand Bahama. This year’s tournament and festival theme is “Celebrating the Fishing Legacy of a Community Over Forty-years.”
The tournament is designed to display West End resident’s hand line fishing skills as well as the skills of anglers from other Grand Bahama villages and visitors competing in the tournament. Tournament participants will compete in the categories of most snappers, overall poundage, and largest snapper. The top three competitors in each division will be awarded cash prizes and trophies.
Lines in will be called at 7:00am this Saturday and lines out at 3:00pm. The Festival begins when the fishing ends and will run until 11:00pm. This sounds like a phenomenal way to spend a Saturday, and we urge anyone who can to head over to the Capital of the Bahamas for this tournament.
