Richard Moore of CBS affiliate Action News 4 in the Texas Rio Grande Valley posted a story today about fisheries management in southern Texas. According to Moore, Texas Parks and Wildlife Biologist Dr. Scott Walker released about 80,000 trout fingerling and 250,000 red drum fingerling into the Lower Laguna Madre at Port Mansfield. Texas has been stocking these fisheries since 1983; this year alone, they will release more than 15 million redfish and about 8 million trout into Texas bays.
