The Sun Sentinel reports today of a great swordfish catch out of Lighthouse Point Marina in South Florida. According to the Sentinel, anglers Mark Francis and Doug Norwick headed offshore with just one rod and just one bait to find swordfish. They came back with a 395-pound swordfish. The Sentinel quotes Francis as recounting, “We dropped down in 1,700 feet, bounced the bottom and reeled up, bounced the bottom again and reeled up again. Within 15 minutes we got tight and 90 minutes later we had the fish boatside and harpooned.”

One rod, one bait, one swordfish. Nicely done, Mr. Francis and Mr. Norwick.

FISH ON!
