Saltwater Nation : Hawaii
Congratulations to Garrett McClure who was fishing with Captain Patrick Dorn and deckman Tim Temple aboard the Start Me Up Too (a 42′ Bertram Sportfisher) in 300 feet of water off Launiupoko Park, Hawaii, when he hooked and landed a 600.1 pound blue marlin (Makaira mazara).
The fish was the second largest of the season for the entire Lahaina fleet and the third over 500 pounds this year.
As a congratulatory gift, the kind folks at Start Me Up Sportfishing decided not to charge Garrett for his trip. That’s just plain awesome.
