Congratulations to Anthony Trimino who was fishing with Captain Dan Shaffer and deckman John Jordan aboard the
Desperado, when he landed a sweet 521.6-pound blue marlin (
Makaira mazara). The
Desperado, a 31′ Bertram that runs out of Lahaina, Hawaii, was fishing about five miles off of Launiupoko Park when the fish initially hit a jet head lure, but ended up taking a different lure on a second second strike.
This is the fifth largest marlin taken this season by the Lahaina fishing fleet.
FISH ON!
