Congratulations to angler Sherrell Carter who has set a probable new IGFA world record for heaviest blue marlin (Makaira nigricans) taken on a 16lb fly outfit. Her record is currently pending with the IGFA. Carter was fishing out of Azores Islands off Horta with Captain Olaf Grimkowski and first mate/wireman Marty Bates aboard “Xacara,” a Hatteras 36.  The fish weighed in at 532 pounds.

FISH ON!
