Johnson Outdoors’ Predator XL kayak took top honors at iCast 2014 as Best Watercraft and Best in Show
Congratulations to Johnson Outdoors who took top honors at ICAST 2014 with three category wins and the Best in Show award. Johnson was awarded Best New Watercraft and Best in Show at ICAST 2014 for the new Old Town Predator XL. David Madden and the rest of the crew at Johnson were kind enough to give us a great tour of the new Predator, and there’s no question why this boat is getting this level of attention. The Predator XL features a new motor console that uses the Minn Kota Drive electric trolling power for hands-free propulsion and navigation.
Johnson Outdoors also took home the award for the Best New Electronics for the new Hummingbird ONIX 8 SI, a fully customizable fish-finding system that integrates the Cross Touch system with and TriFuel cartography.
Johnson also won Best Boating Accessory for the new Minn Kota Ulterra, a new fully-automated, bow-mounted trolling motor that features automated stow and deploy, power trim, and wireless control with i-Pilot and iPiolot-Link.

Okuma Fishing Tackle Corporation took the award for Best Soft Lure for Savage Gear‘s 3D PVC Crab. Mads Grossel, Mike Bennett, and the Savage Gear team and the Okuma team have developed an incredible lure with this new crab. Just check out the video:
