Kayak Fishing Classics hosted the ninth tournament of its ten tournament series this weekend in Yankeetown, Florida. This leg of the tournament had anglers targeting both redfish and snook, and while the summer heat made finding fish a bit difficult, competitors logged some really nice catches.
The winners, pictured above, included first place: Eric Henson, Second Place: Kyle Staton, third place: Sid Dobrin, fourth place: John McDaniel, and fifth place: Joe Henary. Rankings were determined based upon combined lengths of each angler’s two largest redfish and two largest snook. John McDaniel was also recognized for taking the tournament’s largest fish of the day.
As is always the case with the Kayak Fishing Classics Tournament series, award-winning anglers received options of great prizes provided by the tournament sponsors.
The tournament was hosted by Shrimp Landing Restaurant in Inglis, Florida
With only one more qualifying tournament (Mosquito Lagoon, September 6, 2014), the competition is heating up for invitations to the National Championships scheduled for October 4. Be sure to register for the Mosquito Lagoon tournament at www.kayakfishingclassics.com.
