The Kayak Fishing Classics tournament series wrapped up Saturday with the Mosquito Lagoon Classic. This final leg of the year-long tournament series before next month’s national invitational proved to be an incredibly competitive tournament.

Native Watercraft Pro Staff angler Pepi Vidal wins the Mosquito Lagoon Classic

Pepi Vidal, who fishes for Native Watercraft took first place for largest total aggregate length of four redfish, including a monster bull that measured in at 40-inches. According to Vidal, he lost two other bulls of about the same size when those fish broke the hooks on his lures.

Native Watercraft Pro Staffer Wade Hollowell took second place giving the Native Watercraft Pro Staff the top two spots int he tournament.

Third place went to Eric Henson who had taken first place two weeks earlier in the Yankeetown Classic.

Robert Brown took fourth place and William Lusk rounded out the top five in fifth place.

The Kayak Fishing Classic National Invitational Tournament is scheduled for October 4 in Tampa Bay.
