“Lil” Butt Nakid Quick Tip of the Week

As part of a regular series, Captain Judd Wise of the “Lil” Butt Nakid and Team Wise Fishing will provide a weekly fishing tip based on his years of fishing out of Fort Myers and Key West. Enjoy.

If you are like me, you fishing gear is GOLDEN!! You take better care of It than your yard. This week’s tip is guide care for your fishing rods. Supplies are an old toothbrush, a can of coca cola, and a box of baking soda. Dip the toothbrush into the cola and then the box of baking soda. Scrub the guides and the connection of the wrap and guide to the pole. Rinse with water and towel dry. The baking soda and cola will disintegrate any old salt that has been left on the guides that might have been missed from previous cleanings.
