Inventive Fishing loves when we hear from other members of the Saltwater Nation about their own fishing tips.
As part of a regular series, Captain Judd Wise of the “Lil” Butt Nakid and Team Wise Fishing will provide a weekly fishing tip based on his years of fishing out of Fort Myers and Key West. Enjoy.
Anglers,
Have you ever heard the phrase, “it is better to be lucky than good”? This is a great phrase if you are just out to bend a rod, but if you want to be consistent in catching the fish you are after, then have a plan for that day of fishing and stick to the plan. Keep a log book about where you go, the tides, how the current was, the sun placement, the season you are in, weather, water temperature, air temperature, time of day, and the type of bait or lure that you used. The angler who is constantly catching fish does the same routine over and over. If you are an angler who wants to catch specific fish on a regular basis, I strongly recommend that you keep a log book. In the long run, you will have more success.
