Inventive Fishing loves when we hear from other members of the Saltwater Nation about their own fishing tips.
As part of a regular series, Captain Judd Wise of the “Lil” Butt Nakid and Team Wise Fishing will provide a weekly fishing tip based on his years of fishing out of Fort Myers and Key West. Enjoy.
Anglers,
Do you find that your pliers always seem to be rusting and hard to open? Sometimes rinsing isn’t enough, as the salt water plays havoc on our tools of the trade. On “Lil” Butt Nakid we take our pliers and wash with soap and water, dry and coat with a good lubricant spray like Corrosion X or Corrosion Block, and then we put the pliers in a large cup of Marvel Mystery Oil. By doing this our pliers always stay loose and functional and rust never seems to be a deterrent.
